"A proposal has been made for a fleet of orbiting satellites that would reflect solar energy down to Earth 24 hours a day. But now a University of Houston professor, David Criswell, has gone one step further with the idea of harvesting solar energy on the moon and transmitting it to Earth.
According to news reports Criswell's lunar solar power (LSP) system would comprise 20-40 lunar power bases, constructed using raw materials found on the moon, which would collect solar energy and convert it into microwaves. In turn the microwaves would be transmitted to Earth for collection and conversion into electricity. Criswell estimates that harnessing just 1% of the solar energy on the moon and directing it toward Earth could replace fossil fuel power plants on Earth."

Se calhar quando isto realmente acontecer, daqui a uns anos, posso mostrar este blog e dão-me luz do Sol grátis, por ter sido um entusiasta desde o primeiro dia. Ou, se calhar, isto nunca vai acontecer por falta de rentabilidade, de capacidade técnica ou mesmo de Sol.
Aliás, agora que penso nisso..as fotografias da Lua têm sempre um céu escuro! Onde é que estes gajos vêem Sol na Lua? Isto afinal é uma tanga. E eu que vim para aqui publicitar a notícia todo contente!
Mas agora é tarde demais para tirar. Vou acreditar.
